In between looking at homes for sale in Milford, CT, take a break and get a feel for the community downtown at the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade is hosted each year by the Irish Heritage Society of Milford and this year is being held on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Celebrating the Irish heritage of our great city, the parade features local civic groups, scout troops, and marching bands. The parade committee additionally selects a Grand Marshall, Miss Emerald Isle, Irish Man of the Year and Irish Woman of the Year. This year’s royal court is:
- Grand Marshall: Dr. Elizabeth Feser, Milford Superintendent of Schools
- Miss Emerald Isle: Kelly Scianna
- Irish Man of the Year: Michael McCabe
- Irish Woman of the Year: Jane McSally
Get there early as this is one of Connecticut’s best St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Downtown is sure to be bustling!
