Mike Richetelli, President/Broker

Michael Richetelli is President and Designated Broker of Colonial Properties, Inc. A lifelong resident of the New Haven area, he has been a licensed Realtor for over 12 years. Prior to working in the Real Estate field, his background was in Management and Sales. He also gained extensive experience in Property Management and Development prior to obtaining his sales license. As an active sales agent, he has was awarded two “Deal of the Year” awards by the Greater New Haven Board of Realtors- Commercial Investment Division. Under his leadership as President, Colonial Properties, Inc. has seen increased growth in market share over the past several years.
Michael is originally from Woodbridge and graduated from Amity High School, he also holds two bachelor's degrees in Business Administration from the University of New Haven. Active in both professional and community organizations, he is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors for 2008-2009. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Orange Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and has just completed his 2nd term as President of the Board and also co-chairs their Annual Golf Tournament. He is an active member of the Orange Rotary Club, and is director of the club’s AMBER ALERT Child ID Program which includes serving on the Rotary Statewide AMBER ID Steering Committee; he is also a past recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. He is currently a member of the Quinnipiac Club and the Yale Golf Club. Michael resides in Orange with his with wife and two children.

Kevin Weirsman, Vice President/Broker

Kevin Weirsman is very proud to have rejoined the team at Colonial Properties, Inc. as Vice-President. Having spent nearly a decade with the firm, Kevin feels he is back where he has a strong history, and deep roots. Based on his experience, close work and association with numerous area developers and landlords Kevin is once again an integral part of the Colonial Properties team. Kevin was the 2007 President of the Greater New Haven Association of REALTORS® Commercial Investment Division (CID), an organization of nearly 100 commercial Real Estate Brokers and Agents, of which he has been an active member for the past ten years. Kevin has been recognized for several awards, including a recent “Retail Lease of the Year Award” for Greater New Haven County.
Kevin works very hard to ensure that his clients and colleagues are delivered a level of service and integrity of the highest degree. In addition to having achieved his Brokers License, Kevin continues to seek knowledge and is proud to be registered as a Candidate working toward the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. In addition to his membership with New Haven CID, Kevin is also a member of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
Kevin is a lifelong resident of the New Haven area. Kevin grew up in Orange and is a graduate of Hopkins School in New Haven. He now lives in West Haven with his wife Stephanie and daughter Brynn Elizabeth. Kevin is on the Board of Directors of the West Haven Rotary and he and his wife Stephanie are very actively involved with the “Relay for Life” fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and also are staff volunteers with the annual “Fore the Cure” golf tournament, held in Stonington CT, which donates 100% of its proceeds to ACS, as well.

Fred A. Messore, Commercial Realtor
Fred A. Messore has an extensive background in banking, economic development and real estate. For the past six years as Executive Director to the West Haven Economic Development Corporation, he managed and completed several city initiated redevelopment projects such as Saw Mill Road, Lower Campbell Avenue, Regional Train Station Site selection and infrastructure improvements.
Fred has also created a tremendous networking relationship that stretches in many areas that assists him in meeting the needs of his clients.
Fred is originally from West Haven and graduated from Notre Dame High School, he also attended SCSU. Active in community events, he served on the West Haven Chamber of Commerce, Regional Growth Partnership, member of the West Haven Italian Festival Committee, former President and Director of the Alife Society of America, Coach of Orange Youth Soccer and Softball. Gene Caso, Commercial Realtor
Gene
is a Senior Commercial/Investment specialist that has over 20 years
experience in the real estate industry including over 10 years with
Colonial Properties. Gene focuses his efforts on Industrial and
Investment properties and makes great efforts to cover the entire
state of Connecticut to search for new properties and customers.
Prior to his entry into the real estate field, Gene had a long
history in the retail/wholesale business. His family owned and
operated a highly successful retail shoe store and Gene went on to
import shoes directly from Italy for wholesale distribution
throughout the United States. Gene graduated from Wilbur Cross High
School and attended New Haven College. He is a lifelong resident of
the Connecticut Shoreline and he has 2 grown children.

Bill Ferrara, Commerical Realtor
Licensed since 2004,
Bill Ferrara recently joined the Colonial Properties team. Prior to initiating his career in real estate, Bill graduated from West Haven High School, he went on to attended Johnson & Wales University then owned and operated a construction and remodeling
business where he utilized his sales and networking attributes and various resources to grow his business and increase profits by seventy percent. On occasion Bill still contracts as a project manager. He has also managed his own properties. He is an
active member of CT CCIM, a student in the CCIM Institute, a globally recognized commercial real estate network, a member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors, and an active member of the Greater New Haven
Chamber of Commerce as well. Originally from West Haven, and lifelong resident of New Haven County, Bill brings a strong knowledge of surrounding markets and all types commercial real estate. bill@colprop.com

Bill Weirsman, Commerical Realtor

Bill recently joined the growing commercial staff. Bill brings 30 years of experience as a consultant to Connecticut businesses in the field of new product development. This is a second career for Bill, who is now applying his strengths in innovation, strategic planning and project management to the needs of his Commercial Real Estate clients. He is particularly interested in adaptive reuse of some of the under-utilized industrial properties in the area.
Most recently, Bill was president of Wm. Weirsman Associates, Inc. of Orange, a product design and development firm. Prior to that, he was president of Corporate Design Services Inc. of Shelton, a larger firm offering innovation programs, product development and marketing programs to New England manufacturers. Familiar with meeting corporate expectations and budgets, Bill relates easily with corporate and institutional clients.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Bridgeport, and holds several design and utility patents with companies such as Ascom-Hasler, Otis Elevator, and Pitney Bowes. Bill is a member of the Commercial Investment Division of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors, as well as a member of the Connecticut Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Bill is a native of Orange, where he resides with his wife Sharon.

Tom Doyle, Commerical Broker

Tom Doyle has been a Commercial Real Estate Broker since 1982. Licensed in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska and now in Connecticut, his clients have included
Microsoft Corporation, Boeing Aerospace, Washington Mutual and the States of Alaska
and Washington. Tom is a graduate of Western Washington University and has advanced
training from the Commercial Real Estate Institute of Chicago.
Tom served his country as an artillery observer with the First Infantry Division in the
Viet Nam War. After the war, he worked logging in the Pacific Northwest and formed
his own logging company and sawmill business.
Over the last 27 years as a Commercial Real Estate Broker, Tom has helped over 1,500

Gary
Richetelli
Gary Richetelli founded Colonial
Properties, Inc. over 25 years ago in a small, 2 man office in West
Haven, CT. Today, the company is headquartered in Orange and has a
total of 14 agents and staff members, and Mr. Richetelli now serves
as Vice President of the company. He started Colonial Properties in
1978 after he began his career in real estate at Kershner Company
Realtors in West Haven. Colonial Properties was his vision to start
a local company which specialized in Commercial Real Estate
Brokerage throughout the state of Connecticut, which at the time was
uncommon. Throughout the years Gary made a name for Colonial,
completing many landmark deals in the New Haven area and around the
state with both Fortune 500 companies as well as local and regional
clients. The company became increasingly well known for retail
brokerage, and is now associated with numerous successful retail,
office and industrial projects throughout the region, especially
along the route 1 corridor of New Haven County. He is a founding
member of the Orange Economic Development Commission and has also
served on the boards of directors for several Connecticut banks over
the years. Although he now has a diminished role in the brokerage
business, Gary remains active focusing his efforts on development,
investments, consulting and his Commercial Property Management
company.
Mr. Richetelli has always resided in
the New Haven area and now makes his home in Milford. While growing
up in Orange, he attended and graduated from Notre Dame High school.
He later went on to college at The University of Bridgeport, where
he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration. He
also did graduate work towards an MBA in Finance at the University
of New Haven. Gary has been married for over 35 years and has 4
children and 2 grandchildren.
